Impact happens where infrastructure happens.

In 2025, 2,704 GWh of solar generation was curtailed while congestion management cost more than three billion euros. Every avoided curtailment is the concrete impact we accept being measured by.

Environment

Storage in the right place absorbs generation that would otherwise be curtailed and displaces generation that would otherwise come from fossil plants. That is the whole of the impact — no more, but no less either.

We select sites partly on whether storage there serves the grid. That is not charity: grid-supporting sites are frequently the commercially better ones too.

  • Land-efficient design; storage occupies a fraction of the area of a solar park with the same rating
  • Reuse of existing connection points through co-location instead of new connections
  • Environmental, species protection and noise reports as part of development, not as a closing proof
  • Assessment of battery technologies also by raw material base and supply chain — see the technology radar
  • A decommissioning obligation backed by security in every lease

Society

Energy infrastructure is built in municipalities. Local acceptance is not public relations but a project prerequisite — a venture against the declared will of a municipality is usually no venture at all.

We therefore speak early with the municipality and the neighbourhood, and about what is actually built: size, noise, fire safety, construction traffic, decommissioning. Including where the answers are uncomfortable.

  • Early, factual information for the municipality and residents
  • Fair and transparent lease models with clear terms and decommissioning provisions
  • A fire safety concept agreed with the local fire service, including briefing
  • Safe working conditions at all delivery partners as an award criterion

Governance

Transaction certainty and good governance are the same thing seen from two angles: both rest on clean documentation and clear responsibilities.

Every project runs in its own company with unambiguous allocation. The data room is maintained from the first site check. And every figure we state publicly carries a source — on this website as in a financial model.
