Where the difference lies
| Institutional | Direct investment | |
|---|---|---|
| Object of acquisition | project company or portfolio | individual plant or an interest in a project company |
| Typical stage | mid-stage to RtB | RtB to COD |
| Structure | share deal, asset deal, forward purchase, co-development | acquisition of the asset or of an interest |
| Review | due diligence via a structured data room | project documentation, review by your tax adviser |
| Prerequisite | institutional investment capability | business income for the tax mechanics under section 7g EStG |
| Operation | with the acquirer or through an operator | operations and marketing by us or our partners |
Both routes rest on the same development work. What differs is the wrapper.
What holds in both cases
You invest in a physical plant with attributable revenue streams, not in a vehicle with chains of holdings. What the storage does is measurable; how it is marketed is documented.
Every project sits in its own project company. That separates risk and allows clean transfers.
And in both cases: trading revenue fluctuates. We therefore quote no return expectation anywhere on this site — for either route.
